Audio mixing for major touring artists is a highly specialized field, blending technical expertise with artistic sensitivity. I've honed this craft over 20+ years in the industry, working with Grammy Award-winning artists across a range of genres, from Rock, Pop, Jazz, and Blues to Country, Reggae, Jambands, Dance, and Electronic music.
The artist comes first
My priority is understanding the artist's sonic vision. That means engaging with the artist, immersing myself in their studio recordings, and being present at rehearsals. Those interactions are crucial for capturing the essence of the artist's sound and identifying which elements are vital to faithfully reproduce or enhance the studio sound in any environment.
Rooms, festivals, and the road
I've worked with renowned artists like Buddy Guy, John Summit, Eric Church, Soulive, Beats Antique, Tycho, Kingfish Ingram, and many more, at major festivals and many of the country's most iconic venues, such as Red Rocks, The Hollywood Bowl, Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, SXSW, and Ultra. Those rooms taught me how different spaces and crowds behave, from outdoor amphitheaters to cozy clubs to sprawling arenas.
Currently front of house and tour manager for Buddy Guy, mixing on a Waves eMotion LV1 Classic, including the 2025 run with Tedeschi Trucks Band and the Beacon Theater in New York. Earlier, monitors for Tycho on the first generation LV1.
Consoles and PA systems
I'm certified on all of the modern digital mixing desks, including Avid, Waves, DiGiCo, Yamaha, Midas, and Allen & Heath, and work comfortably on professional PA systems from d&b, Meyer Sound, L-Acoustics, and Clair Brothers, delivering optimal sound quality in any setting.
